Victoria Derby Day is unique for 2 reasons; each and every race holds “Group”
status, and the Myer Fashions on the Fields is primarily focused on what the
gents are wearing. And if you’re a bit of a traditionalist, remember that the

EMIRATES MELBOURNE CUP DAY & CROWN OAKS DAY
Crown Oaks Day is the third day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington
Racecourse and is one of the oldest also, having first been run in 1861.
Traditionally, Crown Oaks Day has been referred to as as “Ladies Day” because of
the fine fillies in attendance (and we’re not talking about the four-legged
variety either) but because of this very fact, it’s become just as much of a day
for the gents as the ladies!
