Discount Travel Tip: How to
save time & money
If you save time you also save money because time is money to
most of us. Also, if you try to book online yourself it takes
longer, because some airlines seem to want to know your street
address, fax number, email address, landline phone number,
mobile phone number and the colour of your next door neighbour's
cat! (just kidding about that bit). We don't require as much
information, so it's a lot quicker to book via phone on 03 6231
3844.
So if you want to save time then call us to make use of our
booking engines and we'll make sure our consultants work quickly
and efficiently to find your air fares. If you want us to search
for those "super special fares" such as Virgin Blue's "Dollar
Fares" then we do charge a service fee, all of which are
documented on our service fees page.
If you are searching for cheaper airfares then these are usually
found during off peak times (Tues & Wed). Don't expect to find
many cheap tickets during school holiday periods or at other
times or peak demand such as during major sporting events.
Airlines know when the demand for tickets is likely to be higher
during these popular times and they price their tickets
accordingly!
Try to book as far in advance as possible because as planes
fill, the prices go up. Beware of purchasing cheap tickets just
because they are cheap! They are usually non-refundable so we
advise you to think before you purchase and ensure you purchase
our cheap travel insurance policies so you are covered in case
you are unable to travel. Likewise, some cheap fares are
deceptive. Make sure you check that fares are available both
ways or you'll end up having your trip cost more because to get
from A to B you've got to return now don't you? We don't believe
there is any such thing in this world as a "free lunch" so
beware the advertising spiel and be careful when purchasing
online. It only takes a phone call to talk to an experienced
travel consultant and remember, that travel consultants can
provide independent advice on the best itinerary to suit your
needs. Don't be caught out because without a travel agent you
are on your own!
