Background:

Travel With A Cause Inc is an international Not for Profit Travel Agency. Our Directors (Board Members) and Senior Managers are dedicated philanthropic business executives with vast experience in the delivery of professional travel services.

By law, 100% of our company profits go to projects based in developing countries such as Zambia, Fiji, India, South Africa, Colombia, and, to humanitarian projects based in Developed Countries such as Australia.

We currently sponsor or have already sponsored many NGOs undertaking valuable work throughout the entire world. From Colombia, Fiji, Zambia, Australia, South East Asia, Africa, South Africa and more.

Travel With A Cause t/a Australian Discount Travel & Tours commenced in 2006 as a not-for-profit travel agency and overseas aid organisation. Its three founding Directors were married couple Jane & Paul Evans and, Richard Parker. Below you'll find some background information about our founding directors.

Jane has some 25 years experience in the travel industry and has enjoyed wide and acclaimed international experience.  Jane is brilliant at pulling together those difficult international quotes that often will be ignored by other agents. Jane is well respected in the Tasmanian community and has won many awards for her work of excellence in the Travel Industry. Jane formed her first Travel Agency during the 1990s drawing on her vast experience in both the domestic and international travel arenas.  Jane commits herself to work in the not for profit arena.

Jane has travelled extensively and spent over 12 months living and studying in the USA & Canada before returning to her beloved homeland of Australia.  Jane manages a select group of enthusiastic, energetic, committed and skilled travel consultants who can cater to virtually every conceivable travel requirement.  Jane maintains a close 'hands on' approach to travel in order to ensure that her business continues to deliver excellence to her valued clients.  More details on our team of consultants.

Richard has a strong motivation on his life to work for and in Africa. Richard has recently returned from Zambia and he is enthusiastically engineering several "Not for Profit" tours through  Travel With A Cause and Australian Discount Travel & Tours  which he believes will bring hope, healing and empowerment to the people of Zambia and other African countries.

*How are our profits distributed?

By law, 100% of our net profits are distributed to the projects that we support. In order to cut down on red tape we send our net profits to organisations (usually NGOs) that already have in place the infra-structure to impact positively around the nations of the world. In other words, we support existing projects.

Our Board is charged with the responsibility to distribute profits and it regularly examines our profit base and decides on profit distribution.

There are times when certain projects take precedence over others. This can occur at times of special need or at times of natural disaster. The Pakistan floods of 2010 for example could present such exceptions. Likewise we sometimes support small projects that our Board believes require our support. Because TWAC is a registered Overseas Aid Organisation, its Board is able to disperse funds anywhere throughout the world.
